My name is Steve Moore and I live in Derby. I worked for the NHS in Derby and the surrounding area for eight years before
training as a plumber with Derby College and setting up as a sole trader in 2007. I’m married and have three children who keep me on my toes. I love the hands on nature of being a skilled tradesman and the satisfaction of a job well done. A new bathroom or kitchen should be beautiful and I take great pride in my work. I also get great satisfaction from fixing that dripping tap or that broken radiator and knowing that it actually makes a difference to the quality of life of the customer I have served.
Whether I am fitting a basic suite with minimal tiling for a landlord or a high end suite with led lighting, remote shower controls and underfloor heating I always maintain a high level of expectation of myself and the quality of my work. As a sole trader I also get most of my work through recommendation and so customer satisfaction and quality of work are of absolute importance to me.
I am totally committed to excellent workmanship and have a considerate approach to all I do and all customers I meet (as I 
hope the customer comments show). A typical example would be where a customer needs the upstairs toilet to be functioning at the end of each day and so each evening I would re-install the toilet to ensure it was still available for use.
The majority of work I do as a plumber involves re-furbishing or creating bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens. Taking out the old, making all changes necessary and installing the new. This includes all aspects of the installation like worktop fitting and tiling. I also use my own plasterer and electrician and arrange all aspects of the work to remove this stress from the customer. All the work comes under my guarantee and references are always available upon request.
I also carry out many smaller jobs which are often more urgent. This may be a toilet that won’t flush or a shower that’s stopped working. A more complete list can be found in the Plumbing Services section
